Makeup Training Courses

4 DAY FOUNDATION LEVEL MAKE UP

Three Day Course 10am-5pm.   Further day, two weeks later for photo shoot, assessment and certification.

All courses are taught by Sarah Woodhouse who is a working make up artist with over twenty five years experience in all fields of make up artistry. A fully trained teacher with PTLLS Level 4 BTEC qualification and registered with The Institute for Learning.

This small training school based in Burgess Hill, West Sussex offers an intensive introductory make up course which has been carefully designed to suit the beginner with little or no experience right through to the first steps of becoming a professional qualified makeup Artist.

Upon graduation from this course you will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of make up and all the skills required of a freelance artist.

Upgrade your Skills: If you are looking to work in the Bridal industry, there is a one day additional course in Wedding and Bridal Makeup that focuses on the important additional skills that wedding makeup requires.

Upon completion of the course you will be given a certificate which is accredited and approved by the Beauty Guild which is a highly recognised organisation throughout the industry, allowing you to apply for Guild membership and working insurance cover.

COURSE CONTENT:

Health & Safety, The History of makeup, Facial Anatomy & Physiology, Contra-indications, Skin Preparation, Tools of the Trade, Correction & Concealers, Foundations & Applications, Powders, Eyebrows, Eye Liners, Eye Shadows and Corrective Eye Make Up, Mascara, Blushers, Shading, Highlighting & Correction, Bronzers, Lips & Correction Techniques, The Smokey Eye, False Eyelashes & Individual Lashes, The Importance of Lighting, Different Looks.

Photoshoot with CD for start of working portfolio (book).

Course includes:- Private parking, Lunch, Training manual, Professional Brush Roll, Discounted Student Kit (optional) Ongoing help and advice with marketing etc.
